ZYB, il backup online per il cellulare

Siete di quelli che perdono di continuo contatti e numeri di telefono? Non volete perdere tempo ad armeggiare con cavi, Bluetooth, driver e computer per eseguire un mai troppo consigliato backup?

Ok, come al solito interviene il Web 2.0, questa volta nei panni di ZYB: vi iscrivete, indicate il modello di cellulare in vostro possesso, fornite il suo numero e, dopo pochi secondi, vi arriva il tipico messaggio di aggiornamento. D’ora in poi potrete sincronizzare contatti e agenda direttamente via GPRS, copiando tutto sui server di ZYB. Da qui, poi, potrete gestire le varie condivisioni. Insomma, l’immancabile aggettivo “social” ubiquitario nel campo del Web 2.0.

Unici prerequisiti la necessità di avere SyncML già installato sul telefono, una connessione dati internet attiva e via…ovviamente…come dire…sempre che non abbiate un atteggiamento paranoico verso la riservatezza dei dati personali che il vostro telefono custodisce, eg. nomi, cognomi, indirizzi e numeri di telefono.

Io continuo con i backup sul PC di casa…

Method and system for selecting and conjugating a verb

Abstract

A verb conjugating system allows a user to input a form of a verb and display the verb forms. The verb conjugating system allows the user to input the infinitive form or non-infinitive forms of a verb. When a user inputs a non-infinitive form of a verb, the verb conjugating system identifies a corresponding base form of the verb. The verb conjugating system then uses the base form to retrieve and display the verb forms for the verb. The verb conjugating system may highlight the non-infinitive form of the verb within the displayed verb forms to assist the user in locating the verb form of interest.

Based on reports from European Apple enthusiast websites and last night’s YourMacLife radio broadcast, Apple is in the process of inviting members of the press to a special event for new products, to be held on September 12, 2006. According to these reports, the invitation is inspecific as to the type of products to be shown and will be held at an as-yet-undisclosed location in Northern California, despite the fact that the event will fall on the same day as the opening of Apple Expo in Paris, France, an event the company publicly declined to open with a keynote speech. European journalists will reportedly attend a teleconference in London of the live California event.

Sono solo 264 Kb e come requisiti minimi prevede Windows 98 SE e Internet Explorer 5.5. Per ora è disponibile solo per Windows, ma dovrebbero uscire anche le versioni per Mac e Linux. Su InfoWorld trovate qualche informazione in più.

Io aggiungerei Privoxy e Tor, giusto per stare tranquilli.
